A subconscious mind that’s healthy, clutter-free, and prepared makes life easier and helps you enjoy the present.

But, what does it really mean to live in the present? How do you make the most of it? Let’s find out how you can use your subconscious mind for living in the present.

Many people think that “living in the present” means living reckless lives—do whatever makes them happy without consideration of others or the consequences. Others might think that it’s about ignoring their past experiences and stop planning for the future.

However, living in the present is about living in and enjoying this very moment, giving our complete attention to it while doing what we need to do to manage teh day. It’s about being totally aware of our surroundings, including the people, daily activities, and places.

It’s not about dwelling on the past or being overly preoccupied with what’s going to happen in the near future.

To successfully do all of that, we have to “consciously” guide our mind  and subconscious mind so that we live in the present moment.

Are You Still Struggling With The Same Problems?

It’s frustrating. It gets boring. Encountering the same struggles and problems in our lives can really hinder us from enjoying our everyday lives. This kind of negative thinking doesn’t allow you to truly live in the present moment.

That’s because you don’t let your subconscious mind do all the work. We only understand the problem at the conscious level. So, no matter how much we convince ourselves that everything’s going to be alright, our conscious mind gets in the way—it keeps spitting out negative beliefs, hurtful past experiences, and bad habits, all of which the subconscious mind picks up on and keeps re-creating.

How to Make Your Subconscious Mind Work for You

Practice mindfulness. As the term suggests, this is about being “aware” of your thoughts and actions. You have to identify unpleasant and defective thought patterns and emotions, like anger, worry, anxiety, and so on,

Acknowledge negative emotions and thoughts. Don’t keep suppressing them—they’ll only continue to haunt you.  Remember that you need to empty your subconscious of negative vibes, not store and nurture them.

Be thankful. This will help focus on the positive side of things, which give peace of mind, happiness, and hope. So, before starting and ending your day, be sure to recall all of your blessings.

Stay away from activities that will steer your mind from the present. Avoid excessive daydreaming.  Don’t get too engrossed in reading books, watching movies, listening to music, or surfing the web, among others.

Do fulfilling and enjoyable activities. Spend time with your loved ones and friends. Take on a hobby or do outdoor activities, such as sports. The thing is that you have to do activities that will make your mind become aware of your surroundings and what you do and think.

Living in the present doesn’t mean that you discard your past or don’t think of the future. It just means skillfully living in the current times, finding joy in everything, and being aware of the joys that each day brings. And to do all this you have to feed your subconscious mind the positive thoughts and positive messages to help you enjoy the present moment.
