Some beliefs on your subconscious are harmless while others are so crippling that an individual is deprived of a normal life. False or negative beliefs can destroy your chances to a healthy and long-term relationship or cause you to miss out on great opportunities.

This vicious cycle could go on and on, unless you firmly decide to put a stop to it.  

3 Ways to Eliminate False Beliefs

#1: Challenge self-limiting beliefs

Always evaluate your thoughts. If you grew up to believe that you’re bad, challenge that thought by asking relevant questions. Like “Am I really a bad person?” Then review your behavior and past experiences that will NOT support this false belief.

#2: Surround yourself with positive people and environment.

Be careful what kind of company that you choose to be with, they can be your pitfall. Even if you choose to be positive, it’s hard to go against the tide for a long time. If you keep hanging out with negative people, your positivity could be overwhelmed and eventually weakened.

#3: Practice positive self-talk and affirmations.

When you were a kid, you have no choice but to listen to those who are more “experienced” in life. If your parent keeps telling you that you’re stupid, then you’ll grew to believe that you are.

The beauty of growing up is you’re more capable of evaluating and choosing what you want to believe. So, do yourself a favor: be your own best friend. Say nice and empowering words to yourself every single day.
